Trade Program · Landing page concepts

Three directions for the trade program landing page.

This is a working review. Open each version, scroll through, and tell us which direction feels most like Dutton Brown — or what needs to change. Your input shapes what ships on duttonbrown.com/trade.

The three versions

One flat, two tiered. Pick a favorite.

The models, side by side

Flat vs. Tiered — what the trade-off actually is.

Flat model (V1)

One tier · 20% off
  • +Simplest to build, simplest to explain
  • +No billing system, no renewals, no churn
  • +Fastest to Phase 1 revenue
  • Undifferentiated — every premium brand runs this
  • No recurring revenue from the program itself
  • Lower commitment signal from designers

Tiered model (V2 / V3)

Trade + Power Designer
  • +Paid tier filters higher-intent applicants
  • +Recurring revenue: $200 × N Power Designers per year
  • +Physical kit + concierge = memorable, distinctive
  • +No peer brand runs a paid trade tier — press-worthy
  • More operational commitments (priority queue, kit fulfillment, 2-hr SLA)
  • Billing system + renewal workflows needed
  • Existing wholesale accounts need careful handling at rollout
Decisions we need to make

What we're waiting on.

Once these are answered, we can commit to a direction and start the Shopify build. Nothing here is a blocker to reviewing the mockups — it's what comes after.

Flat or tiered — which model ships?

Flat is safer and faster to Phase 1. Tiered is more ambitious and potentially more valuable long-term. Big decision — this shapes the whole build.

If tiered: V2 visual direction or V3 brand direction?

V3 aligns to db-brand tokens and the live site look. V2 is more editorial/cinematic. V3 is the production-ready design direction if we keep the tiered model.
